Parents help needed

Dear parents,

Next week in the school our Active School Week will be taking place, as part of our efforts to achieve the Active Flag for our school this year. A number of fun events will take place which will be aimed at getting the children on their feet. It is important to get parents involved in this week, as this is one of the aims of the Active Flag. As a result I am asking for volunteers to assist in two events next week. As we are in school for only three days next week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) it is not a huge commitment. Firstly, we need parents to supervise 10 minutes activity each morning in the yard (8.50 – 9.00). Secondly, we are trying to encourage children to walk to school next week where possible. There will be two drop off points, one at Innisfails GAA club entrance and the other at St Nicholas of Myra church. The aim is for children to be dropped off at these points by 8.30 and then to walk as a group to the school. Therefore, I am looking for a few volunteers to accompany the children from each of these points each morning. If you are in a position to help out with either of these events, please let me know as soon as you can.

For more information about Active School Week, see our blog http://kinsealynsactiveschoolflag.blogspot.ie/

or the posters around the school later in the week.

Looking forward to your assistance,

Mr Kennedy
